From London to Edinburgh for a Flavour Filled Production

Our recent trip to Edinburgh with the Halal Friendly List was the kind of project that reminds us why we love what we do. A city packed with history, character and atmosphere, paired with a food journey that took us through a range of incredible restaurants. It was a chance to explore new flavours, meet passionate owners and bring their stories to life for their YouTube channel.

Edinburgh welcomed us with its usual charm and its usual weather too. Beautiful streets, stunning architecture and skies that changed every five minutes. A little rain never hurts, although by the end of day one we were convinced Edinburgh was testing our commitment to the craft. Still, the city looked amazing on camera.

Each restaurant had its own identity. Some offered comforting traditional dishes while others served modern takes on classic recipes. The owners shared their journeys, their challenges and what makes their food special. Our role was to capture all of it in a way that felt true to their personality and the atmosphere inside each place.

We filmed the chefs in action, the dishes being plated and the real reactions from the team as we tried everything. The goal was simple. Show the heart of these restaurants and highlight why Edinburgh deserves more attention in the halal food space.

By the end of the trip we had a collection of energetic, warm and story driven visuals ready for the Halal Friendly List audience. Even with the unpredictable weather, Edinburgh delivered. Great food, great people and a project that let us shine a light on a growing community.
